Educating 36M people with research on nature and health
Challenge
Many people don’t care about nature. But they care about what nature can do for them.

Educate Europeans on the mental and physical benefits of nature.
Approach
Based on the policy report, Health and social benefits of nature, I wrote and disseminated, together with our partners at Friends of the Earth Europe, a four-page briefing summarising key messages and findings.
Outcomes
With a total potential media reach of 36 million people and coverage in mainstream and trade press, this campaign delivered the most coverage in IEEP’s 40-year history.
We launched with an article in The Guardian that had 168 comments and over 47,000 engagements on social media.
